Excursions

The picturesque surroundings provide a unique blend of fishing and exploration by sea. This area is rich in Venetian ruins and Byzantine churches, which appear even more captivating from the water. While fishing, you can enjoy stunning views of the Palamidi Castle, Akronafplia, Bourtzi, and several charming churches perched on cliffs.

In addition to soaking in the breathtaking sights of nature and history, you can take a break to hike and explore. One of our top recommendations is Daskalio Island. At its summit stands the church of "Zoodohos Pigi," constructed in 1688. The Venetians utilized Tolo as a naval base for their fleet in the late 17th century when they regained control over Nafplio and its surroundings. This marked the second Venetian occupation of Argolis, which lasted until 1718 when the Ottomans returned. A remnant of this period can be found in the remains of the fortress on Daskalio Islet.
